This is a concession reserved for patients who are genuinely too ill, palliative or housebound to visit the surgery and is based on clinical need and at the discretion of the doctor. It is not your right to demand a visit.
If you do need a home visit please let us know before 11:00 on 01902 883346, stating clearly the name, age, address and telephone number of the patient or carer and the nature of the problem. Please answer the questions asked by our receptionists. It helps us triage your requests and offer you the right advice.
Lack of transportation is not a reason to request a visit.
We are offering video consultations which may be sufficient for assessments at times. You or your carer or next of kin will need a telephone with camera for this purpose.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You might be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby.
